In 2007, the company won the bid for the conventional island pipeline, fittings, and factory processing project. Due to the inability of imported materials to meet the project schedule requirements (18 months), the company organized domestic experts from multiple fields to conduct a series of demonstrations on pipeline localization, providing CGN with an integrated solution for a domestically produced pipeline system. The company and CGN Group jointly named this steel type as China Nuclear Power No.1 Steel (WB36CN1), and the smooth implementation of the project ensured the power generation of new nuclear power projects in China during the Eleventh Five Year Plan period. While filling the domestic gap, it saved the country more than 50 million yuan in foreign exchange, pioneering the widespread application of this steel grade in China's nuclear power field.
